The Lightway Crystal product line is unique because of the use of a glass roof dome. It is made of Bohemian crystal glass and it practically doesn’t get old. Compared to a plastic dome, it is resistant to aging, even with a barrage of UV light. The crystal dome will not yellow or discolor over time like plastic, therefore it's sunlight collection performance will stay the same for decades.
The crystal dome will collect daylight even if it is cloudy and it won't distort natural daylight colors.

The surface of the crystal is very smooth and hard therefore smog, dust particles, or other impurities in the air do not cling to it, which means it needs almost no maintenance.

The Lightway Crystal collection is produced in four sizes: 200, 300, 400, 600 plus the NEW F-SERIES: F-200, F-300, F-400 for facades.

25 year guarantee
The highly reflective inner surface of the Lightway sunpipe is manufactured with pure silver using a chemical vacuum deposition process. Due to the high quality process and materials used, Lightway is able to provide a 25 year warranty on the reflective pipe components.
​
The expected life span of the Lightway tubular skylight is at least 45 years without need of any service of maintenance.

The crystal roof dome is made of Bohemian crystal in the Czech Republic. It has a very long service life as well as great optical attributes and the ability to collecting sunlight during any weather.

The flashings are made of strong and durable UV resistant ABS. The available options are made to fit most any roof or side wall/fasade.

The inside surface of the pipe is coated with a pure silver finish using a vacuum coating technology that provides very high total reflectance and excellent coating integrity, durability and U.V. resistance. The reflective layer is guaranteed not to crack, peel, or be warped by changes of temperature and humidity as well as long term exposure to UV. Connecting the pipes together or to the adjustable elbows, Blue Performance, dimmer, and ceiling diffuser is easy thanks to custom designed connection hardware, which come standard in every kit.

The adjustable elbow has an angle range of 0 - 45 degrees. It is used for custom routing of the reflective pipe without sacrificing light transmission. The adjustable elbow is easy to connect to another elbow, a pipe section, Blue Performance, a dimmer, or ceiling diffuser. The elbow is made from the same highly reflective and durable material as the pipe.

The glass ceiling diffuser is an important component in the tubular skylight that not only diffuses and equally spreads light in the room, but also becomes part of the aesthetic design of your interior. This high quality diffuser is made of glass, which doesn’t age or turn yellow and transmits the light without color change. The ceiling diffuser easy connects to an elbow, pipe section, a dimmer, or Blue Performance.

The Blue Performance insulation element prevents thermal transfer through the tubular skylight system. This is a very important component and one that is highly recommend for any location that experiences a large temperature difference between indoors and outdoors. Not only does Blue Performance save energy by preventing heat transfer, but an even more critical feature is that it prevents condensation formation inside the tubular skylight pipe and ceiling diffuser which could lead to dripping water and damage to your ceiling. Condensation is a phenomenon which almost everyone is familiar with and Lightway has a unique and perfect solution for the tubular skylight. Blue Performance is easy to connect to elbows, pipe sections, a dimmer, or ceiling diffuser.

The dimmer is made from the same material as the reflective pipe. It employs a motor driven butterfly valve inside of the pipe section to reduce the supply of daylight light into the interior. It is easy to connect the pipe sections, elbows, Blue Performance or the ceiling diffuser.

The crystal tubular skylights are suitable for pitched and flat roof as well as facades. Every package includes all components and assembly accessories for the complete installation. The main difference between the base kits is the roof or wall flashing that will suit your specific building.
